4 Reasons Why Snacks are Important in Weight Loss

Hello this is Jane Brown. I am back to share with you some tips on how eating at least two snacks a day can help you to lose weight. Am I kidding you? No, it is important to ward off hunger with having these snacks during the day.

You will be surprised how just a couple of snacks a day will be beneficial in getting you through the day. Keeping a food tracker is an excellent way to track how many snacks you are having in a day. This could be the cause of not losing weight as quickly as you want.

Today, is the day you can start with healthy snacks and see how quickly you can lose weight. What you need to think about is that snacking is an excellent way to keep on track of your goal of losing weight.

4 Reasons Why Snacks are Important in Weight Loss:

1.  Eating a healthy snack may aid in warding off hunger signals – the more you try to ignore hunger signals the louder they become until all you can think about is food and this is when most people make the wrong choices. Willpower weakens. By having a snack the hunger signals will be less until your snacks are your survival sign until your next meal.

2. Worried that Snacking will Make it Harder to Lose Weight:
Studies have shown that there is no link at all between how many snacks people eat and how much they weigh. However, choosing healthy snacks such as fruit or vegetables would be the best choice.

3. Drinking a beverage with Lemon in it – Rather than a Sugar filled soft drink – Having a piece of fruit or a few vegetables with an 8 ounce glass of water with 2 or 3 tablespoons can be a quick way to fill up for a couple of hours before your next meal

4. Eating a snack in the mid morning or mid afternoon is an essential way to keep up your Energy so that you can exercise

Eating healthy snacks is an important way to move

forward on your weight loss journey.

The best part of adding healthy snacking is that you have so many choices to curb your appetite and be able to stay on track with your weight loss. Try a handful of cashews, an apple, 3 cups of popcorn (without the butter), a cup of strawberries. The list goes on.

The key to healthy weight loss is to eat. The myth that you need to starve yourself is not a healthy way to lose weight. Exercise, moderation and healthy eating is the right way to lose weight.

Always remember to consult with your doctor before making health changes.
